Whether you're a returning family or thinking about joining for the first time, we're answering your most frequently asked questions and breaking down everything you need to know to register your athlete for a fun, competitive, and community-driven football or cheer season.

When Does the Season Start?

Per 2025 Pop Warner guidelines, football practice can begin as early as July 15, giving our athletes extra time to acclimate to the Florida heat before moving into full pads. Cheer practice begins the first week of August, and coaches will send full details ahead of time.

All practices take place at Walton Sports Complex behind Dune Lakes Elementary, just like last season.

Practice Schedule:

• Football (ages 6U–12U): Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays | 5:30–7:30 PM
  • 6U practices Mondays & Thursdays only
• Cheer: Mondays and Thursdays | 5:30–7:00 PM

What’s the Game Plan?

Each football team will compete in 7–9 games throughout the season, facing teams within the Florida Panhandle Pop Warner league. Teams that qualify will move on to October playoffs, with league champions having the opportunity to compete at regionals and the Pop Warner Super Bowl in Charlotte, NC. Cheer squads will cheer alongside the football teams.

Regular season games are held on Saturdays starting after Labor day and ending around Halloween. Post-season play is dependent on qualifying factors. The schedule will offer an equal amount of home and away games within Walton and surrounding counties.

What’s Included in Registration?

Your registration includes high-quality gear and uniforms:

• Football players receive seasonal use of Riddell SpeedFlex helmets, Xenith Flyte 2 shoulder pads, a custom reversible jersey, and a practice t-shirt.
• Cheerleaders are outfitted with custom-fitted uniforms, pom sets (including pink poms for Breast Cancer Awareness Month), and all the accessories needed to shine from the sidelines.

Space Is Limited!

To ensure every athlete has the chance to grow and shine, football teams will be capped at 25 players and cheer squads at 16 athletes. Priority is given to returning families, followed by registration order—so don’t wait to sign up!

How You Can Support

We’re proud to offer a best-in-class program focused on safety, skill-building, and fun. But registration fees only go so far. This year, we’re raising funds to purchase a custom trailer—a big step in making gear transport easier and reducing overhead.

Sponsorships range from $250 to $5,000. Donations of $500+ earn recognition on our practice t-shirts, website, and social media. And because we’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all contributions are tax-deductible. Donate here
